PICO National Network
Tim Lilienthal is the director of the Campaign for Economic Dignity at PICO National Network, a coalition of 50 faith-based community organizations composed of over 1,200 member congregations in 20 states. Tim has worked for the last 12 years in grassroots social change efforts. In 2003, Tim got his start in organizing working with a farmworker organization in El Salvador. He joined the PICO network in 2005, working as a community organizer with PACT in San Jose, CA. At PACT, Tim organized parents, teachers & religious leaders to fight for school reform in the lowest-performing school district in San Jose, as well as to expand health care to low and moderate-wage workers. In 2008, he joined PICO National Staff, where he managed communications during PICO’s successful “Cover All Families” campaign to guarantee affordable health coverage for all Americans. Tim has also directed PICO’s foreclosure prevention and bank accountability efforts, as well as work to protect Medicaid and other low-income programs as part of the federal budget and tax debate. Tim went through 16 years of Catholic schooling in the Philadelphia region, including graduating summa cum laude from Saint Joseph’s University. He currently lives in western Massachusetts with his wife Jennifer, their daughter Julia and their dog Baxter.
