Jacklyn Gil is a recent graduate of Brandeis University majoring in Peace and Justice studies, with a focus in Peacebuilding Arts. She has worked to mobilize Boston area college students around a climate justice framework that puts issues of economic and racial justice first. She believes holistic methods of social transformation, including collective visioning, healing, creative and theatrical pedagogy, and storytelling, are essential to transition to a human-centered economy. Born to immigrant parents, she works to expose the beauty and power of transnational and diasporic communities. She is a cultural organizing consultant to the New Economy Coalition.
