Sachie Hopkins Hayakawa is a Youth and Student Organizer with the New Economy Coalition. Sachie grew up in the rainy Pacific Northwest, where she began to develop a commitment to environmental and racial justice. While a student at Swarthmore College, Sachie worked with groups fighting dangerous energy extraction and helped organize the country's first fossil fuel divestment campaign with Swarthmore Mountain Justice.
